The conference is first of its kind for the water and wastewater industry and will focus on the balance between funding infrastructure with maintaining affordability for ratepayers.
Tom Crooks, Vice President of MCR’s Energy Efficiency practice, will provide insights during the Private Financing/Private Capital Investment for Public Utilities panel on Wednesday, September 2 at 10:15 am. Tom developed and tested prototype energy efficiency programs for water and wastewater agencies, drafted major portions of the California’s Water – Energy Relationship Report and developed research program roadmaps for the commercial, industrial, water and agriculture sectors. He has planned, implemented and evaluated energy efficiency programs for utilities in 25 states.
“In this panel session, I will discuss how water system improvement electric load reductions can be created and monetized to significantly offset infrastructure costs” Tom said in anticipation of participating in the upcoming conference.
