On July 29, 2025, the Committee on Gas of the National Association of Utility Regulatory Commissioners (NARUC) passed a number of substantive resolutions for Board of Directors consideration. One of them, Resolution GS-2, on Advancing Natural Gas Energy Efficiency Programs for Commercial and Industrial Customers, recognized a number of energy and non-energy benefits from gas EE programs, including conserved energy, reduced emissions, and the potential of distributed energy platforms such as combined heat and power. These closely align with the findings of the American Gas Foundation report, The Growing Imperative for Natural Gas Energy Efficiency, which MCR prepared for the Foundation. The NARUC Board adopted Resolution GS-2 on July 30, 2025.
