AI-Assisted Risk-Informed Budgeting for Nuclear Fleet Operations
A major nuclear fleet operator needed to align a site’s five-year operations and maintenance (O&M) budget with targeted financial goals. Using MCR’s risk-informed budgeting approach, our artificial intelligence (AI) agent rapidly reviewed the site’s O&M budget, with all outputs validated by MCR’s subject matter experts. MCR identified opportunities for more than $150 million in cost reductions, as well as approximately $100 million in potential deferrals. In a breakthrough for risk-informed budgeting, our AI agent delivered results with unprecedented speed and saved our client’s staff weeks of work.
